Astral Mining Corporation (AST.V) is a junior exploration company focused on identifying high potential gold and silver deposits in politically stable, mining friendly districts of North America. Astral seeks exploration projects that are in close proximity to the infrastructure needs of a successful mining project, thereby removing risks and enhancing the potential for an economic discovery during the current strong commodity cycle. Astral discovered high grade gold on its 60% owned flagship property, Jumping Josephine in British Columbia's prolific Rossland mining district where the Company intersected 19 m averaging 7.01 g/t Gold during last year's 69-hole drill program. The Company is also exploring another property in British Colombia, two in North and South Carolina, and six in Nevada, five of which are located along the prolific Carlin, Battle Mountain or Walker Lane trends. An aggressive and extensive work program is planned for 2008.
