We're very excited about our NEW blog, primarily because it's a way for us to communicate our updates to you in a fun and friendly manner. Though our Press Releases are a great source of vital technical information as well as financial facts on Astral Mining, at times it may feel like an overwhelming amount of information, especially if you are an individual investor with specialties in a different field.

An Update on our Mexico property...

The first results from this exciting drill program on our property in Mexico, Los Crestones, will be coming in soon and the balance of the results will come in throughout the remainder of 2011! This is the first ever drill program to take place on the property, located in the prolific Sierra Madre Gold-Silver belt!


An Update on our Canadian properties...

We have commenced an Airborne Geophysical Survey over our properties: Honeymoon & Barriere Ridge in British Columbia, Canada.


A survey like this is the process of measuring the variation in several key physical or geochemical parameters of the earth. The most important parameters measured are conductivity (which is the inverse of resistivity), magnetic susceptibility, density, and radioactive element concentration. Any change in the earth's near surface that causes a measurable change in these parameters presents a potential application for airborne geophysics. It is a very costly but necessary exercise to advance Astral's operation in this gold-silver base metal haven.

In layman's terms, this survey will help Astral define future drill targets.
